Colonia Galesa (Castellanese, by convention not translated, offically in Cambric Nythfa Cymraeg, the Ingerish meaning is "Cambric Colony") is the least populous federal subject of the Ardispheric Federation, and the second smallest in land area as well (after the entirely urban and compact Distrito Federal). Its capital and largest city is Ynys Dieithriaid, CG. In a manner similar to the evolution of the much larger Colonia Coreana, the Colonia Galesa was carved out of the formerly larger Departamento Boreal in the post-civil-war period of the 1870s, in an effort to satisfy the strong autonomist sentiments of the majority-Cambric-speaking population of the region.
