Cerro y Casa (called "Santa Fe del Río" until 1850, and still called that informally by many), is the capital of the Ardispheric Federation federal subject of Departamento Occidental (DO), situated in the departmento's northeast corner at the point where the Río Castillo joins the Río Albañiles. It is the third most populous proper city in the country (2012 est. population 421,000), but its metropolitan area is the second most populous (2012 est. population 1,203,000) in the Ardisphere.
